This picture makes me happy. Jason and I are both 2 months shy of our 21st birthdays. We were incredibly blessed to have both sets of parents pay for almost the entire wedding, splitting the cost down the middle. I requested getting married in Jason's home town, because our plan was always to move here and raise our family. For me, one of the great thngs about getting married young, was the lack of pressure I felt to make the wedding an event. (Personally, I think too much emphasis is put on age and not enough on getting married to someone who's right for you, for the right reasons!) I wasn't worried about a lot of things that I later discovered brides are supposed to stress about. I was happy to do my own hair and make-up. I found what for me was the perfect dress and flowers. But most of all I'd found the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and he with me!
That's really beautiful Brenna! I also got married young and did my own make-up! Weddings I've been a part of since were so much more elaborate (and expensive) than mine. Blessings to you...enjoyed your post.
