Make Me Smile Monday

Friday was a PA Day for my girls. It was a beautiful day, so we gathered up the kids sunhats, filled some bottles with water and walked over to the library and then over to the park. On the way back the girls began to notice a few caterpillars along the way. They were heartbroken when they realized the caterpillars hadn't survived the voyage across the vast sidewalk. So when we came across a caterpillar in the middle of their journey they stopped to supervise and make sure it arrived safely on the other side.

On Saturday, when they found a caterpillar in our backyard they were so excited they created a special habitat for her (they decided the caterpillar was a girl and named her Brenna) complete with a large rock fro exploring, some branches and plenty of leaves.

"Brenna" the caterpillar.
They're currently on the look out for a boy caterpillar that they plan on naming Jason. :)

  1. I supervised 1 mama duck and 11 itty bitty ducklings for almost an hour as they journeyed down our sidewalk and street on Sunday morning. Not a fan of birds overall, but those little ducklings were adorable. The thought of a car barrelling around the corner as they walked along the road made me sad.
