Six Weeks - The Results

So my six weeks are up and things didn't go as well as I'd planned. I only managed to lose 3 pounds in these past 6 weeks, which is a far cry from the 8 to 10 I'd been hoping for. BUT I'm not going to see this as a failure (despite my disappointment) because I still went down and that's good. I've lost 19 pounds, so for now I'll just enjoy this accomplishment.

Tomorrow I will begin my Six Week challenge - take two! This time I won't be setting for myself a specific number, but I will focus more heavily and staying under my calorie goal each day and working out 4x a week. And from there I will just have to wait and see what happens!

I will check back in with you on Tuesday, June 28th.

  1. Good for you! Seeing the number go down is still going in the right direction! Have you ever considered buying a scale that gives you fat% and water% as well? It's helpful to see that you are losing fat, not water or muscle. Just a thought!

  2. Funny you should say that, because I just bought one a week ago! :) After several days of weighing myself when I first wake up in the morning I've discovered my fat/water percentages have been the same every morning, so I should be able to track the changes over time. I'm looking forward to seeing that fat percentage go down! :)

  3. Don't be discouraged, I gained almost 2 full pounds last weekend alone! I didn't think I ate that bad, but what I ate made me retain water. I have gone back down a lb, so its a slow process. They say the slower you loose the better (and less likely you will regain).

I realized this week, that because I haven't seen much of a change I was getting frustrated. But when I watch shows like The Biggest Loser, and they see results so quickly I was getting discouraged! But they work out 8+ hours a day!

    You can do it!
